Social Media & Communication Policy
The Inspired Self maintains professional social media pages (such as Facebook and Instagram) to share general information about the practice, educational content, and updates. These pages are not a substitute for therapy, are not monitored for urgent needs, and should not be used for emergencies or crisis support.
To protect your privacy and confidentiality, please do not use social media or direct messages to share personal health information, request clinical advice, or engage in therapy-related conversations. Telehealth services are provided only through secure, HIPAA-compliant platforms and not through Facebook, Instagram, email DMs, or other social media channels.
Following, liking, or commenting on The Inspired Self’s social media pages does not establish or indicate a therapy relationship. If you are a current or former client, you are free to decide whether to engage with the practice’s social media content, but you are encouraged to consider your own privacy when doing so, as others may be able to see your activity.
For scheduling, questions about services, or clinical communication, please use the secure methods listed on the Home page for the designated client portal/EHR system. The Inspired Self does not provide therapy, treatment recommendations, or crisis support through comments, direct messages, or public posts on social media.
If you are experiencing a mental health crisis or emergency, do not use social media to seek help. Instead, call 988 or your local emergency number, go to the nearest emergency room, or contact your local crisis line or other appropriate emergency resources.
