Privacy Policy for The Inspired Self
Effective date: November 2025
Privacy Policy - the basics
The Inspired Self (“we,” “us,” or “our”) provides psychotherapy services to adults located in California. This Privacy Policy explains how information is handled when you visit this website.
Information collected on this website
This website itself does not collect clinical or intake information. We do not provide an email address or contact form on this site. Basic technical data (such as IP address, browser type, and pages visited) may be collected automatically through standard website analytics and cookies.
Scheduling and communication through Headway (EHR)
All appointment requests, intake forms, and secure messaging are managed through Headway, a HIPAA‑compliant electronic health record and billing platform. Your personal and health information submitted through Headway is protected and governed by Headway’s own privacy and security practices, as well as HIPAA.
If you choose to work with me, you will be directed to complete all necessary forms and communications within the Headway portal, not through this website.
How we use limited website data
Any non‑clinical data collected on this website (for example, anonymous analytics) is used only to maintain and improve the site’s performance and security. We do not sell your personal information.
HIPAA and clinical records
If you become a client, your Protected Health Information (PHI) is handled through Headway and governed by HIPAA and the Notice of Privacy Practices you receive through that system. This website Privacy Policy applies only to information collected via this site, not to your clinical record.
Links to third‑party services
This site may provide links or buttons that take you to Headway or other third‑party platforms. Your use of those platforms is governed by their own privacy policies and terms. We encourage you to review those policies carefully.
Changes and contact
This structure matches what many small practices do when all PHI flows through a secure EHR, but it is still important to have the final text reviewed for California and HIPAA alignment by a lawyer or a compliant generator.
